PLEASE PRAY FOR THE ROSKO FAMILY

MISSIONARIES TO THE U.S. MILITARY IN SOUTH KOREA

Sending the Blessed Gospel Light to Camp Humphreys and all of Korea!

Dear Soldiers of the Cross,                                                                                             January 2012

“…DO ALL TO THE GLORY OF GOD” I Corinthians 10:31, this is our Church’s theme in 2012. If we live every minute with the purpose of living for His glory we will be blessed and the Lord will be honored.  It should be our supreme goal to glorify God with our lives. As we reflect upon the past year my heart is thrilled and my mind filled with memories of God’s faithfulness to sustain this ministry in Korea.  In 2011 we had a good number of people saved and baptized. The Lord allowed us to disciple a number of faithful believers. Our Ladies Bible study built strong relationships among our women in the church. The faithful men’s meetings were well attended and also built unity among the men of the church. Our children’s Sunday school, Junior church, and King’s kids ministries grew both numerically and spiritually. The Lord allowed us to purchase a new church van for our van ministry to Osan Air base. (Most of our military in Korea are not authorized a privately owned vehicle.)  The Lord has given us wisdom on how to improve our ministries both to the U.S. Military as well as our Korean community. Thousands of tracts and Bibles in English and Korean have been handed out in our surrounding area. We have been able to support missionaries around the world ensuring we fulfill our responsibility to preach the Gospel in regions beyond our Jerusalem. Sue has been able to oversee the Servicemen’s Center ministry to ensure our unaccompanied and single military people have a home cooked meal every Sunday.  Sue has remained cancer free and is able to serve in several ministries. Sue serves in the translation, nursery, tract, soul-winning ministries and does most of the administrative work of the church. Our church families are serving together with great unity for the common goal of evangelizing the lost, edifying the believer and exalting the Savior.

It is because of your faithful prayers and support that enables us to serve and keep the light of the Gospel shining in Korea. Our Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays were filled with fellowships and encouraging services. During Thanksgiving week our daughter Grace and her husband Daniel visited from Knoxville, TN.  We had the whole family together, Melanie and her husband Nicholas, with our three grandchildren. Also, Michelle was able to be with us for the 4 day weekend. It was an exciting time for all of us!

Please pray for the great challenges ahead of us, by the middle of the year almost 80% of our church will leave for a new assignment. We must trust God to send qualified replacements in His perfect timing. Thank you again for all the prayers and support for the past 14 years!
